Reformer Pilates

Lately, Group Reformer Pilates is blossoming in the fitness industry. These classes offer a perfect balance between strengthening and conditioning exercises, as well as addressing flexibility and mindfulness

The delight of training on a reformer is introduced to a large group of people, which is wonderful. The pace is fast, and the combination of music, a large group of people on reformers and an energetic teacher can drive you to push your boundaries.

As a seasoned Pilates Professional I can only applaud the vast attention the Pilates Method is getting through Reformer Pilates.

However, the large group settings can make it really challenging to understand how to execute these in depth movements well, without harming yourself.
Often there is more 1:1 attention needed to make the exercises catered and work for your individual body. Speed is not always progress, history teaches us.

In a Private (Reformer) Pilates class you can work on the details of the exercises, and really understand how you could best approach them, specifically for your body. You will get personal cueing and share personal information that you may find relevant to your progress.

You can discover, ask questions, and learn adaptations to the exercises to build a strong base.

The teachers at Leila’s Pilates will give you individual attention and support, offering you new insights and strategies to return to your reformer classes.
